The Arctic region is full of contrasts. While in the winter sun does not rise, in the summer is does not set! The mid-night sun period starts in the most Northern parts of Region Arctica already at the end of April and last until the end of July. During this time sun does not set below the horizon. Summer is usually very busy time here and people are active after the long winter.

You can practically do all the same things during night hours as during day time. A mid-night hiking, kayaking or fishing trip is a very pleasant way to experience the beautiful light of the night hours.
